About Liechtenstein
Liechtenstein is a tiny Alpine principality nestled between Switzerland and Austria, spanning just 160 square kilometers with a population of around 40,000. Despite its small size, it offers dramatic mountain scenery, with Vaduz Castle perched above the capital as the residence of the reigning prince. The country is popular for skiing in winter and hiking in summer, with well-maintained trails offering panoramic Alpine views.
Liechtenstein has one of the world's highest GDPs per capita and is known as a financial center with an exceptionally high quality of life. It uses the Swiss franc and shares an open border with Switzerland, making it easy to visit as a day trip. The Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein and the postage stamp museum are cultural highlights in Vaduz.
